Design believable social UI without adding clutter
Learn which profile, engagement, and layout details make a social mockup feel complete without overwhelming the content.
Make the content the first signal
Start with the post, comment, or profile detail the audience needs to notice. Supporting interface elements should establish context without competing for attention.
Use only meaningful metadata
An avatar, account name, timestamp, and one engagement row are often enough. Add counts only when they matter to the story or presentation.
Keep spacing systematic
Consistent gaps between identity, content, and actions make even a simplified mockup feel deliberate. Repeated spacing is usually more convincing than extra decoration.
Check the final crop
Review the mockup at the exact aspect ratio used by the destination. Make sure no essential label sits too close to the edge or disappears behind a video safe area.
